Over the past year Matt has gotten the opportunity to work on three Nickelodeon Specials, Producing the shoot portion of Patchy’s Playlist and completely producing from Pre to Post 2 specials during the time of COVID-19
Patchy’s Playlist
Filmed at a Mini Golf Course in Plymouth, England - Patchy’s Playlist was a clip show that was made to help promote the Spongebob Musical Live on Stage, presented above is the live action segments that stitched together the clips. Strung out is both the A version, which was made to point directly to the Musical, and the B Version, which was made fo re-airings after the initial showing.
The Stars of Spongebob Fan Favorite Special
One of the highlights of Matt’s carrer, the making of The Stars of Spongebob Fan Favorite Special posed a truly difficult problem. How to create a Spongebob Special without having the cast leave their homes. Needless to say Matt and the Creative Producers came up with a solid plan that would allow them to make a truly classic special that will live on long past the pandemic.
The Loud House/Casagrandes Hangin At Home Special
The Loud House and its spinoff, The Casagrandes, are two of the most popular and beloved show on Nickelodeon’s air. 2020 saw kids in a difficult place, and to try to relate to kids, Matt worked with Creative Producers to create a unique clip show starting original bits of Animation to stitch the story together, Presented above is the first 5 min of the special.
Spongebob’s Spookiest Scene Countdown Special
As Covid continues, new creative ways to film have to be thought up. The clip show was originally going to be a voiceover, and Matt was able to come up with a Covid safe way to elevate the clip show to be hosted by Patchy Pirate. Matt and an internal Director of Photography walked our one man crew member through setting up a room in talent’s home.
